a little Sesame street learning

We do a lot of interactive learning here. Dd will be 3 in September and has NO idea about colors - she just picks a color when I ask what color something is. SO we cut out some character to help her learn a few colors at a time.

ELMO - redCookie Monster - Blue
Oscar the Grouch - green
I have a Big Bird cut for yellow - but don't have yellow vinyl for the window - SO I'm going to cut it in black and layer with yellow paper - just need to get it done.

DD loved this - she goes up to it in the morning and asks what color each one are now.

I used my Cricut Sesame Street Cartridge for the characters - all are cut in vinyl (some Wall pops from Lowes). The words were from my Cuttin Up cartridge cut at 2 1/4".

WOO LISA fantastic idea !! I used to worry about my daughter when she was coming up to being 3 that she wasn't very good with colours. I spoke with her nursery teacher at the time (all kids here in the UK automatically get a nursery place when they are 3). The teacher told me not to worry that they worked with them (same as you are doing with Dd) like show mummy the green (whatever) or the yellow (whatever) it is soooo amazing how quickly they pick things up SO DONT WORRY and just enjoy every minute (my baby will be 10 in July) where has the time gone
