Mothers day contest

I couldn't resist entering this contest - In Style stamps has some really cute images! On their blog - they are having a contest using an image they provide. The contest is to make a project or a card for mothers day using this image. What a CUTE supermom image!!!!!!

I made this Wish-book for my mom for mothers day (mom- don't read this post!!!). I figured that because she is such a great mom, she deserves a notebook to write down her wishes in! I got some inspiration for this wish book from Shaela - she has made some really cute wish books with her bind it all. What a great idea for any deserving mom this Mothers day!

The Instyle image is a digital image (This image is copyright InStyle Stamps) that I made big enough to fit on the 5x7 notebook. The notebook has 4 dividers and about 10 pieces of paper between each divider. The dividers were covered in blue and pink paper (alternating).

The image was colored with my copics and cut out with paper snip scissors. The cover was covered in Basic Gray euphoria paper and there were strips of ribbon (SU Pretty in Pink and Offray white) attached to the paper near the top and right above Wishes.
Supplies
Stamps: InStyle stamps Supermom image, Unity Just my type
Ink: Printer and Adirondack pitch black
Paper: BG Euphoria for covers, unknown pink/blue for inner dividers
Copics: E00, E37, R20, B23, W-5, W-1, W-3, B32, RV42
Accessories: 3/4" bind it all wire, bind it all, nesties, ranger white pen

Cute card Thursday #55 and Thankful Thursday

InStyle Stamps has the cutest Anime line - they have adorable images! I love Daisy from InStyle - so cute! InStyle has Thankful Thursday sketches each week - very cute sketches each week too!

I combined this with Cute Card Thursday - the challenge this week is Marshmallows and chocolate -to use pink and brown.

I used Daisy from InStyle stamps for this one - matted her on some SU pink pirouette paper and layered her on some chocolate chip. I was really working the chocolate chip paper today! The pink behind her is sponged with momento rich cocoa ink along with one of the strips of paper at the bottom. I used my Thanks Cuttlebug folder and sponged some ink on the top to make the Thanks sentiment stand out.
Supplies
Stamp: Daisy (InStyle Stamps)
Paper: SU Chocolate chip, pink pirouette

A "few" Challenges

Today was a good crafting day! Dd cooperated and wanted to craft with me (and I made 1 card before she woke up and the layouts during nap time).

The first challenge is for InStyle stamps. They have the cutest new anime images (I just ordered 2) that I can't wait to get! They also have copic markers for a decent price! This Thankful Thursday sketch is from last Thursday. What a cute sketch - I kind of turned it on it's side, moved it around and made the oval work for me. Pam and Buster just really wanted to be inked up today! I couldn't find any flowers (I have a lot) to match the paper/coloring - so I made my own! I found a white prima and used my copic to color it to match Pam's dress.

I am also using this card to send in for Jen Tapler's blog candy/great cause candy. She is going to put together a bunch of cards and auction them off to raise money for the Alzheimer's association. What a great cause! Supplies
Stamp: Pam and Buster (In Style Stamps)
Paper: BG Marrakech
Ink: Adirondack pitch black
Copics: E51, E37, RV42, YR68, B32
Accessories: Prima, nesties

The second card is for a "recipe" challenge on Victoria Case's group on SNR - if you haven't been on SNR, why not try it out - it's free and there are fun challenges each month! This challenge has an AMAZING prize AND you don't have to use Victoria Case stamps if you don't own any (she has some great digitals that area quick to get in your inbox too) and you have the chance to WIN some of her adorable stamps!

I inked up Monster bedtime for this one. This challenge was HARD. We could only use 1 circle, 2 colors, 3 layers and 4 embellishments. I had a really hard time coloring the monster with just 2 colors, so I kind of cheated and used 2 different colors of brown - I don't think that is too bad!
Supplies
Stamps: Monster bedtime (Victoria Case)
Paper: BG bittersweet
Ink: Adirondack pitch black
Copics: RV42, E37, B02, Y28
Accessories: BG buttons, Bazzil primula petuna paper flowers, nesties

The next two layouts are for some sketch challenges. Jen Buck has started a CAS (clean and simple) sketch challenge each Sunday on her blog. I love how easy these layouts are to put together! This was one fun layout! Brought back memories - This was from when dh swore in to join the Coast guard - it was a rough day and I had been crying so the pictures of me aren't that great.

The second layout is for the Unity Scrapbook sketch challenge #6. What a cute sketch! I had fun - on the sketch it looks like just 1 picture is needed, BUT I altered the sketch a little to include a couple more pictures.

Supplies:
Stamps: Unity Feb and March KOTM, Serenity tree
Paper: Unknown white, blue; BG Granola
Ink: Adirondack pitch black

In Style Stamps Guest design call

InStyle Stamps has a Thankful Thursday sketch posted every Thursday. This past Thursday, they posted the sketch PLUS a call for a Guest designer for April and May!!!! I LOVE the style of InStyle stamps - they have some really cute rubber and digital stamps!

I used Suzie Q, one of InStyle's rubber stamps. She LOVES to shop as most of us do! I'm going to send this card to my mom who shops for me because I live on an island with no craft supplies. She picks up paper, refill blades for my cutter, and pretty much anything else I ask her to find for me - she is AMAZING!

I just love Basic Grey paper too - the Bittersweet was one of the first paper packs I purchased and I LOVE it! I love that the 6x6 paper packs have paper that matches so well together - it makes card making fun!
Supplies
Stamp: Suzie Q, Me2kit (Unity - sentiment)

Ink: Adirondack pitch black
Copics: YR61, E08, Y28, RV42, E57, E00, E49, B95

I found this blanket and loved the colors in it, so used it for my card this week. I loved the black, orange and yellow flames and chose to use the same colors. This card is my ALL TIME FAVORITE that I have made so far! I love how it came together! LOVE the colors and how they all worked together too! I made this one for the Basic Grey challenge this week. I just got the BG Bittersweet paper pack in the mail in the past week and have loved using it! It is for challenge #20, Follow the sketch.
