Fishin

Another Sketches in Thyme sketch finished up. I used sketch #117 for my layout. We went fishing the night before dd turned 4. She was very excited to catch a fish (but didn't want to touch it).  This is the first layout I've done recently that I haven't used stamps...

fun at the fire station

I have been looking for new sketch sites and found Sketches in Thyme. I used sketch 113 for this layout. I rarely do 1 picture layouts, so I added a couple to the sketch to use the pictures I had from the Fire station open house.

I cut out the scallop circle paper by hand. I put my cricut back in the box when I got a new computer - maybe when we move I'll have room for a big craft area and can have it out - it would have taken longer to get it out than to cut by hand...

Parade time

It's almost time for the 2013 Crab fest parade - last year Abby walked in the parade with the other girl scouts here. We are lucky to have good friends here who walked with her (I had the stroller and her sister bundled up - it was COLD)

I used a lot of Echo Park on this layout. I love Echo Park - still need to find an online retailer of their 12x12 papers though (that doesn't charge a ton for shipping). I got this collection "Everyday eclectic" from I heart papers when Kate had the 12x12 papers.

I used the Gourmet rubber stamps Girl Scout stamp to add the little girl scout on the right. She is adorable (Abby has used her for thank you cards when people support her in her daisy troop). She was colored with copics.

Turtle friend

Living in St Croix was always an adventure. We never knew what animal we might run into on walks or swimming. This cute turtle was a must stop on every walk around our complex - Abby loved it!

I love this Carta Bella paper that I got from I heart papers. Kate is SO quick at shipping! We were actually talking about shipping on facebook yesterday... I am STILL waiting on a package (dd's birthday gift) that was ordered the beginning of the month from a company - I really appreciate when businesses ship using priority mail (or put a notice on their website that shipping may take longer to AK) to ship packages. It frustrates me to order something (in plenty of time to receive it) and have it not get here 3 weeks later.
