Back to school!!!!!!

We have a back to school challenge this week on Scrap and Stamp. I pulled out some photos from Abby's preschool class - this was her first year at preschool (I still haven't printed last years photos...)

I found a CUTE sketch on the October Afternoon blog and pulled out some Modern Homemaker paper that matched pretty well with my photos and got to work. I used some Unity stamps on my page too - this was a FUN 2 pager that I finished.

This week on Scrap and Stamp, we have a sketch for you from Vicky - I love her sketches because she has a LOT of photos on them! I always have a ton of photos for each "event", so need to put more than one on a page! I just used the right side of the sketch for my layout - I had family in town all week and didn't get over to my scrap table much - it was fun having them here, but I missed crafting!

My layout uses papers from the June 2011 Hullabaloo kit from Lucky Girls Crafts - when I saw it, I had to get it! Love it! It's a manly challenge!

Scrap and Stamp has a new challenge for you this week - to scrap the MEN in your life. We are getting close to fathers day and want to challenge you to feature the men you love on your layouts. I chose these pictures of my husband with my daughter at Sea World in San Antonio, TX. She LOVED seeing all the animals with daddy and going on her first ever roller coaster ride that day!

I used almost all of the rest of my October Afternoon 5&Dime paper - I think I have a few scraps left for a card or two. I also combined the challenge on Scrap and Stamp with the Scrap Fit workout this month - around the house. I used my regular stapler and had my daughter help me staple on my layout - she loved it! Sketch time - Scrap and Stamp

We have a sketch this week on Scrap and Stamp - it's a 2 pager, but you don't have to do a 2 page layout, you can use just one page as long as we can see that you used the sketch. Thank you to Vicky for providing her sketch for us this week! I pulled out some photos from St. Croix. These were taken in October - it was hot still. It was hot year round there - we went to the beach in December and swam in the ocean and it was just as warm then as it was in June. We attended a birthday party for a friend who's parents owned a catamaran - it was a BEAUTIFUL boat! Abby didn't get in the water at all this day, she played on the boat the entire time!
I used the TGF Sunshine kit for my page - the sentiments work perfect for my page of sun pictures.

school play

Scrap and Stamp has a fun challenge that I'm sure ALL of us could use this week... To use our old supplies! I know I could use that challenge (more than just today!). I have a ton of older paper that is just sitting - I like to use the new paper with the new photos that I print.

These papers are from Stampin Up - it was the Candy Lane paper pack from 2008 (I think) - the colors worked good with the preschool photos that I had from last years preschool.

I used the 2 page sketch from Sketchy Thursday for my page - I like 2 pagers - I need to start working with them more often again.

I used a Unity store kit for my page - August 2010 store kit - Learning (year by year)

Scrap and Stamp has a 2-pager challenge this week. I used to always scrap in 2 page spreads, but have adjusted my scrapbooking to include a lot more 1 pagers. I'm not printing as many photos, just selecting my favorites now.

For my pages - I pulled out some Bo bunny sun-kissed paper, it is so bright and works great with my pictures from St. Croix, USVI. I found my Sunshine kit from TGF for the stamped images on my page (along with the title). Abby and I spent the afternoon at the beach - it was HOT that day! She fell asleep in the stroller on the way up the hill. I really didn't like walking up the hill to the house, but it was a pretty private beach down there, so we went there frequently.

supportive - Scrap and Stamp challenge

Today we have a new challenge on Scrap and Stamp - I hope you'll join us in scrapping a funny moment. I was going through pictures when I found these ones.... Dd was about 18 months and got into my "delicates" drawer.. she put EVERY single bra from in the drawer around her neck. She thought it was great. Me, well, I got the camera because it was funny.

sketch time at Scrap and Stamp

This week on Scrap and Stamp we have a sketch. I'm loving all the inspiration from our new design team along with those of us from before.

I used some photos that I had from a trip to Oregon. I printed them smaller than normal because a lot were cell phone pictures, so the quality wasn't the best. They print out great when they are smaller than 4x6. I pulled out an unused (gasp) set from Unity that I've had for a while - Time for Travel and used it on my page.

Our challenge on Scrap and Stamp this week is to use your punches. I decided to go simple this week - I had this picture that my mom took when we visited last summer - the cousins during Noah's baseball game - we had just arrived in town and Abby was exhausted from flying all day!

We are welcoming our new design team members soon! Can't wait to work with each of them!

What a week

It's been one of those weeks. I have been working on stuff, had a horrible Monday, got no sleep so was tired on Tuesday, Wednesday was ok, Thursday I felt like I had been kicked in the ribs, Today was better... until tonight when dd started acting sick. We leave the island on Sunday, so I really NEED her feeling good, she's too big for me to carry through 3 airports!

siblings - Scrap and Stamp

This weeks challenge on Scrap and Stamp is a heritage page. Um... This was the closest picture I could find, it's from 1981, so not that old, but it was the oldest one I could find (the rest of my photos/grandparent photos have been scrapped and are with my parents in Oregon).

I actually used mainly scraps on this layout, I have a pile that I need to use now or I'm going to throw them away.... so I pulled them out last night for this one. From Sun to snowmen

We spent 2010 trying to adjust back to the cold temperatures of Alaska! We left St. Croix in the USVI and drove cross country to get to dh's new duty station (military) and ended up back on an island in Alaska. This week on Scrap and Stamp, our challenge is your "year in review" plus a stamp! Any layout with your year in review as long as you use a stamp on it. I rarely make a layout now without a stamp on it.

Shoes, we all love them!

Abby was no exception to loving shoes. She LOVES shoes. She loves anyone's shoes. It doesn't matter who's or how big they are. I got a few pictures before she turned 2 trying on our shoes in the hall.

new beginnings

I don't know about the rest of you, but my goal is to get a LOT of scrapbook layouts done this year! I got a LOT done last year, but want to get almost caught up this year (don't know if that will happen, but I can try). I joined in on a lot of challenges last year to help me out!

This week on Scrap and Stamp, we're challenging you to scrap a new beginning. New car, new goal, new baby, whatever is a new beginning for you! I found these pictures in my pile... they are from a "few" years ago. Ok, over 10 years ago when I bought my first car ever. I actually cleaned up my closet (kind of) during the Christmas break and found some stamps from Unity that were never opened. Christmas - Scrap and Stamp

It is coming. WAY too quickly! I have been SO busy lately, then the stomach flu hit my 4 year old. MISERABLE. The first incident happened in the car, so I had to clean the entire car and take apart her carseat (especially after the second incident). GROSS. It's been almost 2 weeks since then and I don't think I've fully recovered from her mess making that night! I'm SO glad I didn't catch it. We both got our flu shots shortly after that. The scrapbook/stamping store I have been working at is closing also - I worked for 6 hours today..... I'm EXHAUSTED! It was a madhouse in there, I didn't get to sit down for over 3 hours!

With how busy I've been, I've actually scrapped, just not blogged at all! I have another couple of layouts that will be posted as soon as I can edit the photos.... our natural light in Alaska is pretty much gone now, so I have to edit to make them look decent.

This week's challenge on Scrap and Stamp is a Christmas challenge. Scrap some Christmas photos and use a stamp. Easy! I used some photos from 2007 - it was the only Christmas photos I could find in my stash - I need to print a whole bunch more photos SOON! She was just getting the hang of opening her presents that year and got to open this one early at grandma/grandpas house when we were visiting. Supplies

Scrap and stamp sketch

Today we have a sketch for you on Scrap and Stamp. It's a fun one - you can do it with a holiday theme or just use everyday picture like me. Just remember to use at least one stamp - come join us - it's fun! My layout uses a 6x6 paper pack from My Minds Eye. It fell into my cart the last time I placed an order on 2peas - it was too cute to pass up! It's the tickled pink 6x6 paper - and it's ADORABLE! I used stamps from the November KOTM from Unity - I loved the friends sentiment and this tree is one of my absolute favorite trees EVER!

another challenge at Scrap and Stamp

This week we have a tutorial for you - to stain your page with fabric dye on Scrap and Stamp. I have NEVER even thought about using fabric dye on paper, so this was a challenge for me too! I used some red fabric dye that I had here, I had some smooch that matched the color, so I sprayed some spooch spritz after I put the dye down and it dried.

I used the sketch from Sketchy Thursday for my page this week also. These pictures are from the first time we lived in Alaska - from 2005-2008. We left soon after these pictures were taken. I used a paper from Echo Park - Sweet Summertime to get the circles, I cut each one out to adhere to my page. Stamps are from Unity and My Favorite Things. Supplies

another preschool page

These pictures were actually taken AFTER the first day of school - she had already gone to school, just did NOT cooperate at 8 am for pictures - I took them when we got home.

The challenge on Scrap and Stamp this week is a fun multi-photo sketch that Lacey designed for us. I love multi-photo layouts because I rarely just take one photo of an event. I used some new stamps from Unity - Learning {year by year} - the August 2010 store kit.
