Pals

I really hope my girls stay friends/pals their whole life. I only had brothers growing up - I really think it's different when you grow up with a sister. These girls LOVE each other. The little one gets SO happy when she sees her sister. The big one has a huge smile plastered on her face any time they are playing together. They really do love each other!

I had to DIG through my papers to find some that would work the for Scrap Fit color challenge - I am still pretty sure mine are a bit "off" color wise, but it was as close as I could get! I used some Basic Grey Konnichiwa papers to go along with the pictures my neighbor caught during our family picture session this spring. Supplies
Stamps: CTMH friendship word puzzle
Ink: Tsukineko
Paper: American Crafts cardstock, BG Konnichiwa

daddy's girls

We recently got family pictures taken by my neighbor - Sylwia Ok - she is AMAZING! When I noticed that Lexi was almost a year old and we had NO pictures of all 4 of us, I sent her a message and got in before my husband left on a work trip. I LOVE how she took a bunch of pictures of Ryan with both the girls - so precious!

I used the MME sketch and some new to me My Minds Eye papers from the Miss Caroline collection. LOVE the colors in these papers - they are BEAUTIFUL (I have some in 6x6 and had to order some in 12x12 too). Abby is really missing her daddy, so when she saw this layout, she wanted to take it to her bed to sleep with tonight... I ended up putting a copy of the picture in her room for the night instead of the layout.

I ended up working out with Scrap Fit also - they have a Decorate with a Doily challenge going right now - I used a My Favorite Things Doily die to add a little bit of the striped paper (in a doily) at the bottom of the page.

Supplies
Paper: My Minds Eye
Ink: Tsukineko
Accessories: MFT doily die cut, MS edge punch, Cricut tear drop

bucket head

Scrapfit workout #63 is a sketch workout - I had fun and used some older photos that I need to scrap so I can finish up a couple albums! I used to scrap in order and might go back to that - it's easier to put in albums that way!

I used some new papers - LOVE that Lawn Fawn came out with 12x21 collection packs at CHA - I got the Bright side paper pack - the purples matched great with the purple bucket on Abby's headSupplies

waiting

This has to be one of my favorite layouts I have finished recently. I LOVE the pattern papers today - I don't normally use this many patters on one layout, but love how it turned out. I even combined 2 lines from MME for the layout - Lime twist life of the party and happy go lucky.

I used the sketch on the MME blog #26 along with the prompt from Scrapfit weekend warm up #11 - use flowers.

I saw this flower on the MME blog a while ago - LOVED how she used the twine to crochet flowers for her layout - so when my mom came up to visit, I put her to work crocheting for me (much easier then learning to do it myself)Supplies

ScrapFit #48

"A little birdie told me" is today's workout on Scrap Fit. The challenge is to create a layout using birds (stamped, cut out, drawn) along with using a Wise Saying as your title.

I chose to use "snug as a bug" for the title - these photos were pretty funny to me - Abby was staying in our room in St. Croix while my parents were in her room - we went in and found her in different positions every time we went in. She didn't seem to care if her head was off the mattress or if her legs were on the tile floor - she slept through it all! I'm grateful for a kid that can sleep through pretty much anything!

SummerTime

I'm SO excited to post today - I'm this month's GuestFit girl at Scrap Fit! I found the Scrap Fit challenge blog a few months ago and have enjoyed playing along when I can - their work-outs are fun and always a challenge.

Workout # 47 is SummerTime (there are 2 work-outs a month). We all love summer time - but time does fly by when it's sunny out. The challenge is to create a layout with a fair amount of Yellow (to represent summer) and a clock (to represent Time).

This layout is from St Croix - Abby helped her dad wash the car- we had to do it fairly early in the mornings before it got too hot out (which explains her pajamas). It was summer year round down there so I have tons of "summer" photos (I did separate them by months so I know when things were now)

Supplies
Paper: AC cardstock, Echo Park summer days
Accessories: American Craft Thickers

It's a manly challenge!

Scrap and Stamp has a new challenge for you this week - to scrap the MEN in your life. We are getting close to fathers day and want to challenge you to feature the men you love on your layouts. I chose these pictures of my husband with my daughter at Sea World in San Antonio, TX. She LOVED seeing all the animals with daddy and going on her first ever roller coaster ride that day!

I used almost all of the rest of my October Afternoon 5&Dime paper - I think I have a few scraps left for a card or two. I also combined the challenge on Scrap and Stamp with the Scrap Fit workout this month - around the house. I used my regular stapler and had my daughter help me staple on my layout - she loved it! Supplies
Stamps: Unity Feb 2010 KOTM (nothing but blue skies)
Ink: Tsukineko
Paper: SU cardstock, October Afternoon 5&Dime

Smile

I think I've scrapped this picture before, but I had another in my pile of pictures and it was too cute not to use! I need to put all my finished pages in albums in order... maybe next week.

Workout #35 on Scrapfit was a fun one. It was to use your scraps. I actually had a pile of scraps that hadn't been recycled yet.. I'm bad. I don't keep my scraps. I give them to Abby to use in her craft area or I toss them in the recycle bin unless I use them right away. These were from another layout I finished a while ago. It's been a while since I cleaned off my desk, so these were sitting waiting for this layout. Supplies
Paper: AC cardstock, Bo bunny petal pushers
Accessories: May Arts ribbon, AC Thickers, nestabilities

Yes, I really did take pictures and scrap them.

I'm sure Abby will HATE me in the future. She wasn't so happy that I got the camera before the tweezers this day either. She has never had a problem putting things up her nose (other than the cheese she put up there at 12 months.... she sneezed that out) until this day. I doubt she'll do it ever again!

She was playing really nice and then her nose kept running. She was still playing with the other beads - I think I had gone up to start laundry. Well, I went to wipe her nose and discovered that she had put one up her nose. A pony bead. It was red. I was laughing so hard... but hoping I could get it out myself and not have to drive through the snow to get to the ER. I got it out. She wasn't happy that I was getting it out with tweezers though!

This is also a sketch from Scrapfit - I'm really enjoying their workouts, this is workout #27!

It's been a good couple of days! My husband got home after being gone for 3 months. My parents get here tonight! I might not be around for a few days (I'm scheduling things though)Supplies

Scrap fit -You are my sunshine

I won my first work out I participated in on ScrapFit, then went on vacation and haven't had much of a chance to play - so I challenged myself to join in this time.. I'm making it just in time!

This work out is a free style relay - pick your favorite layout and "lift" it, but change it up a little. I chose the layout by Laura Jean in work-out 16. I rotated her sketch and changed up the papers - I added the scallop strip along the top because I needed something else on my page! I had to add the pink to the blue also - because my daughter was so bald people thought she was a boy in whatever I dressed her in.... I have added a lot of pink and purple to my pages! Supplies
Stamps: PTI fillable frames #3
Ink: Tsukineko
Paper: Jillibean Soup - soup staples and Old world cabbage stew
Accessories: SU scallop edge border punch, Cricut cartridge (Storybook)
